Thrust Areas: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR); Nano-Theragnostic materials for AMR and Cancer; Nano-Biosensor Based POCT and One Health approach to Combat AMR

Research:

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Cancer have a significant role in public health by destroying the potency of the existing antibiotics and anticancer drugs. Hence, novel strategies are required to combat AMR and Cancer. Meanwhile, nanobiotechnology plays a significant role in developing alternative and more effective treatment strategies for AMR and Cancer in a current scenario. Our research team mainly focused on Biocompatible Nano-biomaterials and its controlled nano-drug delivery approaches to combat emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases and Cancer. Our particular research focus includes

  • Development of Novel biomaterials to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)

  • Development of Nano Theragnostic Anticancer Materials

  • Biodegradable Polymer controlled drug delivery Approaches for AMR and Cancer.

  • Polymer-based Nanocomposites and their Biomedical Application

  • Development of Nano-Biosensor Based POCT for the Rapid Detection of Bacterial and Viral infections

  • Synthesis of Metal oxide nanoparticles and Nanocomposites Materials for biomedical Application
